UMD congratulates Michael Wesley Kormushoff on receiving the Macedonian Businessmen’s Club “Man of the Year” Award at their annual Friends and Family Dinner meeting held on February 15, 2022 at Papa Joe’s Restaurant in Akron Ohio.
This award has been presented annually since MBC’s founding in 1950 and is given to any active member that has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the values they stand for. Having attendance at over 30 members and their families a great time was had celebrating Michael.
“I have been a proud Macedonian my whole life thanks to my Baba and Dedo and all my family passing down their traditions and values. I have been a member of the Macedonian Businessmen’s club for nearly 20 years. In the past, I have served as president and vice president. I continue to be active in our annual golf outing and reverse raffle as well as attending our monthly meetings. I work at Firstenergy in Akron Ohio. I am married with 3 children. 2 boys (8 and 6) and a girl (2). I am honored to have received the Man of the Year award,” said Michael W. Kormushoff.
Additional news was shared at the dinner including the proposed updates to the Club’s Bylaws to include women and a closer relationship with the UMD as well as the announcement of MBC’s 2021 Scholarship recipients.
